We also will need 1 open air 4 post rack and 2 APC Smart-UPS XL, 5000VA/4000W, part number SU5000RMXLT5U+(2)SU48R3XLBP for these switches to ensure uptime on the existing ip telephone network.
All of the above systems will need to have included in the price installation, configuration, and a service plan ( Cisco smart net and vendor on-site support preferred).
We also will need 30 Cisco wireless PCMCIA cards and 20 for desktop use that are 802.11a/g 54megabit compliant.
We also want to add 192 drops to the existing 448 drops in the building and have Panduit Twin Channel plastic raceway installed to accommodate the existing 448 and the additional 192. We will need to use Ortronics Category 6 patch panels that are compatible with an Ortronics Mighty Mo brand of 19” rack. We also require that all drops be Category 6 Commscope 6504 cable.
This campus is also looking for 2 servers that will be used as Terminal Servers. We would need 2 servers with dual xeon 3.0 ghz or faster, 4gb ram, dual raid setup one for operating system and one for data. The operating system should be a mirror set with a minimum of 76 gb of space and the data set should be a raid 5 with at least 560 gb of space. The server should be loaded with Windows 2003 enterprise edition with clustering options and the web terminal server licensing. The server should also have dual 1 gb nic ports on it. Also should be included 300 network based terminal server cals and 400 web based terminal server cals. We also will need 1 open air 4 post rack and 2 APC Smart-UPS XL, 5000VA/4000W, part number SU5000RMXLT5U+ (2)SU48R3XLBP.
Telephone and internet service at the time of this RFP is already under contract from Year 6 funding and the organization signed a 3 year Contract at that time and is requesting continued funding on that contract.

We are planning to expand this campus when the building space comes available in Spring ’04, and would like to be able to cable it in the fall under the year 7 E-Rate funding. District Cell Phone Service:
We are currently using Nextel and have a 1 year commitment that will expire December 1, 2004. We are looking for a cell phone contract for 1 year to accommodate at most 20 phones. Minute usage ranges from 600 – 1000 min. a month not counting the direct connect usage that is not tracked at this time. We are looking for a provider that can provide us with cellular service and allow for intercommunication amongst the phone holders similar to the Nextel Direct Connect whether it be a 2 way radio service that is a
E-Rateable service or a cellular to cellular service.
District Gigaman Service
We are requesting funding on an existing Gigaman Contract with SBC that is under House Bill pricing.
